Easter Weekend

Easter weekend kind of sneaked up on us this year, but it was a fun weekend none the less. Celebrating Holidays with my Husband and Norah as a family is something new and exciting. Creating a family is wonderful! Jesse is finishing up his second to last year at Emmaus, so he had a lot of homework to do this weekend, but we still made some time for fun and leisure.
On Saturday I made my first ever rice and chicken dinner. It only took me 9 months to gather the courage to try it out. haha It turned out to be yummy!!

This is the bouquet that my wonderful husband gave to me for our 9 month anniversary. It's flown by so fast!!

Aaron came over Saturday night for some skip-bo and dessert. It was a grand ole' time.

Easter Sunday morning on our way to church.

After Church we went to Panera with Aaron and Tommy. It was delightful.

We went to the Sylvester's for dinner. Randy made prime rib which made everyone very very happy. This is Roman smiling big for the camera.

Here's Jesse fixing the tangled slinky mess.
Easter went by so quick!! It was very fun, and I'm so thankful to have family and friends close by to celebrate with. I'm also thankful to have a risen Savior, Jesus Christ! Living each day for His glory in light of the eternal promise of heaven is immeasurably the greatest joy in my life.

A Day with my Husband

Yesterday was Good Friday so Jesse had the day off from work! It's been a long time since we've spent a day together just doing things that we enjoy. It was long overdue.

We went out to Target and Jesse got a new hat. He's so handsome. =]
The day turned out to be pretty stormy but we enjoyed our day together.

I haven't been grocery shopping with Jess in a long time, as silly as it may sound I missed it... I almost forgot how men grocery shop (notice the cereal and spaghetti-o's). It was a pleasant trip.

This is Jesse working hard to help me make invitations to my friends bachelorette party. He's the only reason my creative ideas come to fruition.

Oh, and this is me at 25 weeks pregnant with Norah Kristine.
We also hung out with Josh and Mandi and had dinner with the Eric and Elaine, but I forgot to take pictures. I'm new to this picture blog thing... We also went to the Easter service at Arbor Oaks Bible Chapel. All in all we had an excellent Good Friday.

Spring Time is Here!

I really enjoy the Spring. Even though it snowed for a short time over the weekend it was a great weekend of celebrating the Spring. Emmaus holds 2 special events to celebrate the change of season -- the Spring concert and the Spring Banquet. The Spring concert is an evening of listening to singing groups sing praises to the Lord... it's refreshing =] The Spring Banquet is a fun tradition where the Students, Faculty and Staff of Emmaus dress up and honor the graduating seniors and eat amazing food (and yes... that is very important to me at this point). Even though this was the first year where I wasn't a student it was still very fun to go with Jesse and have fun with friends.

Aaron, Jesse and Deb =] It was a nice surprise to see Deb at the Spring concert and spend some time with her.

Aaron and Jesse both sang in the concert...sadly I was too busy video taping to take any pictures of them singing... maybe I will get a short video clip up.

Jesse and I after the concert.

On our way to the Grand Harbor for Spring Banquet!

I wore my Great Gramma's opal that she gave to me as a wedding gift.

Our name tags =] We've been married for 9 months and it's still fun to see my name.

Jesse works at Emmaus as the "Webmaster" but he also gets asked to design things for special events. He made the programs for the evening and I thought they turned out amazing!

The center pieces were amazing! Our good friend, Josh, made the evening look very fancy.

Jesse, Josh and Aaron looking very cool. =]

I took this picture without him knowing. =] I like the way it turned out.

Jesse and I at banquet. =] I'm 25 weeks pregnant with little Norah Kristine!

Jesse and Aaron taking their signature photo. love it.

Jesse, Aaron and our good friend, Luke.

Jesse, me, (Norah) and Aaron.

Our friends Mandi and Josh.

Jean, Amanda, Liz, Stephanie, me and Tina. My friends from Emmaus.

Liz is graduating this year! Exciting as it is I will miss her...

Aaron and his girlfriend, Tabby. It was delightful to sit by them during the dinner. =]

I couldn't help it... I had to take a picture to remember the amazing triple chocolate cake we had for dessert. Norah really liked it too. =]
A very eventful weekend with family and friends to welcome the Spring and Summer. Jesse and I  are so blessed with great friends and family to celebrate with and we look forward to our new family addition in a few short months!

First Garage Sale of the Year!

I cannot even express how much I love going to garage sales; it is the highlight of my spring/summer. I love rummaging through what people no longer want to find a new treasure for myself and for a good price!I'm not much for talking people down, but this year I am going to start!  This year I'll be looking for baby clothes/accessories. In stores baby clothes are so expensive, but at a garage sale you can get an bag full for cheap!
This was my find today-- all of these baby clothes for around ten dollars. I loved looking through all of the girls clothes. There was so much to choose from!! But I'm very satisfied with my findings!
My friends Tina and Stephanie came with me today, but didn't stay out very long today because it was sooo cold and rainy. Even though we were wet and freezing it was still fun and completely worth it!
All in all today was a very good day . I even got a toddler stroller originally marked 25 for 15 dollars! I was a little scared to ask the lady for 15 but she didn't have a problem with it. =] Having baby stuff in the house really makes me excited. I can't wait to finally welcome her to our home! Oh, and Jesse loved all of the baby clothes, too. He thought they were cute. =]

Pregnancy belly

Being pregnant is amazing. The constant food cravings, the hot flashes, the bathroom breaks every 5 minutes, and constantly feeling like a whale... what could be better? =] Only joking... being pregnant is amazing. I can't believe there is a baby growing inside of me. Lately I haven't been able to stop looking at picture of my niece. I guess it could be baby fever, but I cannot wait to meet my little baby girl.

I think I was 18 weeks at this point.
This is my dear husband at 18 weeks also =] One of his coworkers gave him a watermelon at work and this is on the ride home.

This is my niece, Natalie. She is so precious. I might end up posting a picture of her every blog post because she's so adorable.

First Patio Dinner

Spring is finally here! Today was really nice so we decided to have Aaron and Tabby over for dinner on the Patio. Aaron transported our little table from inside our apartment to the patio and we ate outside. It was really nice until the mosquitoes started biting....
Aaron and Tabby cutting up the strawberries for strawberry short cake.

My dear husband Jesse and I. I love him. =]

We had grapes with our meal and it turns out eating grapes can make you look pretty weird sometimes...

Aaron really, really likes grapes... haha

This is his favorite dessert!
My beautiful, but not really, slice of strawberry short cake. I'm not good at making food look attractive...

Family Weekend in Wabasha

My little cousin, Bradey, had a baseball game. His first game of the season and they won! It was a great game.

We celebrated Saydee's graduation from High School. It was a nice time to see family and friends.
Saydee and Natalie with the graduation cake. Natalie is in the process of ripping up the instructions on how to cut it. =]
My nephew, Seth. He is the sweetest little boy.

My niece, Natalie. She is such a joy to be around. Even when she tries to claw your eyes out.
